Licensed in 1995 and spending 14 years as Vice President of a surveying firm in Venice, FL, together with 12 years as a field crew chief prior to that at various local firms has given a very well rounded and real work experience as a Profesinoal Surveyor.

He moved to Charlotte County from Ledyard Connecticut at 17 and graduated from Charlotte County High School of Punta Gorda, Class of 1980. After graduating, he decided to go into construction, being 6'2" and 200lbs, he was welcomed to most labor crews. In 1982, he began as a Rodman for Divers, McCleod & Associates in Englewood (now DMK & Associates) and fell in love with the surveying field, spending lots of time outside and learning the ropes.
In 1987, he met his wife and started a family. Studied hard and worked harder to get his chance in 1995 to take the Florida Land Surveyors Exam and passed on his first attempt. He was working for Brigham Surveying at the time and was offered the position of Vice President, where he remained until 2008. After which Shremshock Surveying, Inc. was created.

Lea is Dave's daughter and runs the office. Born and raised in North Port, she graduated from North Port High School in 2007 and headed off to college, eventually landing at UCF and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
She spent several years in Orlando, working her way up to become manager at the Kilwins in Winter
Lea is Dave's daughter and runs the office. Born and raised in North Port, she graduated from North Port High School in 2007 and headed off to college, eventually landing at UCF and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management.
She spent several years in Orlando, working her way up to become manager at the Kilwins in Winter Park. For a little change of pace, she moved to New York City from 2014 to 2016 until eventually landing back home to help run the family business. Now having worked in the office for 10 years, she has great knowledge on all things surveying and can answer almost any question you may have about the field.
She now runs the show so to speak. As a part of a small business, she does it all. From answering phone calls and emails to scheduling and managing the books, she keeps the ship sailing.
